Installation

The installation process is as simple as copying a file from your computer to your FPGA-powered GBC via standard USB-C cable:

  1. On your computer, download the .zip archive for the firmware version you wish to install
  2. Open the .zip file and view the contents, note the file named update.bin
  3. Switch the console on with no game inserted
  4. Plug the console into your computer using any USB-C cable
  5. Find the drive named FUNNY_PLAY_ and open it
  6. From the .zip archive, copy the update.bin file over to the FUNNY_PLAY_ drive
    • File must be named update.bin, renaming will cause the update to fail
  7. The console will automatically update and reboot
  8. You may now disconnect or switch off the console - throw in a game and get playing!
